Darn Tough? You're Darn Tootin'!

When I think Darn Tough, an image immediately comes to mind of one of those pristine workshops coated in white and chrome where they test formula 1 race cars. The perfectionism that the folks at Darn Tough press, smash, and pour into the DNA of each and every sock they create is staggering. I would venture to say they aren't so much making socks as they are reconstructing and revitalizing that good old fashioned notion that a product should last.       Their slogan; "unconditionally guaranteed for life" is no joke. They have a group of people dedicated to their chosen...

Weekly sock talk

For a while now, even before we put together this blog, I wanted to put together a content post we could issue each week that our customers could get excited about, as excited as you can get about a blog post anyways! After a reading and following more established bloggers in our field, I quickly found that there seemed to be a lot of posts that followed this pattern. Many of them seemed kind of forced, and as I read backwards through their older posts, I saw that they had once been extremely detailed and well thought out, and the bloggers seemed to...

3 mistakes you're making with your sock drawer

Having been converted to a crazy sock believer over the past year or so, Id like to share some insights I've had. For starters, before I met my wife and became embroiled in the sock life, socks had always been a means to an end for me and my, some would say, lacking wardrobe. They were simply there to protect my feet, and prevent blisters or lacerations caused by my aged new balance. The only variation to my day to day bland, white gym socks, were a couple pairs of bland, argyle "sunday socks." When I...

Whats in a trend?

Bacon has been around for a long time. Its not news that bacon is delicious, but for the longest time it was somewhat relegated to breakfast time. Nowadays it seems like you cant turn around and not see bacon flavored everything, heck, one of our most iconic pairs of socks are covered in bacon. Now, i wanna ask, is this a bad thing? is it wrong to love bacon so much? is it weird? I'm not really sure, we could talk all day about why some things catch on and some don't, and there really doesn't seem to be a way...

A quick detour

We're currently on our way through Utah heading towards Vegas and the trade show. We decided to stop at Cove Fort for a little break and it was time well spent. We were given a tour of the historic fort and it was such a treat, it served as a trading post and safe haven for travelers and pioneers in the mid to late 1800's. We were shown around by a missionary of the LDS church as he told us about the families that used to work the telegraph office and provide rooms and food for weary travelers.     ...

Dedication+Determination=Destination.

The final day of the convention has come and gone, and I'm left feeling tired, but inspired.  A couple weeks before we were scheduled to leave, our general manager broke her foot while she was out walking. Usually that would see an end to any and all plans for flights or driving, let alone walking around a massive convention center! Lucky for us, our manager has a will of steel, because she came along anyway, crutches and all. Her dedication to our group of employees goes above and beyond a simple manager, and that can be said for every member...
